ranger pet spider fix
make the spider all terrian like the dryders in uw(topk).deeper explanation=spiders,as a pet, should have the abbilty to climb over the terrain.ie.enemy on a cliff you are below spider currently runs to base and stops or reverse senerio.my idea changes that........btw sry for the confusing post earlier i think i cleared it up now......not to send it to places the player cant go but a direct path to the enemy.

Erm i dont really know what you mean by "make the spider all terrian like the dryders"
Edit: Do you mean make the Black Widow walk free all over UW like Lynxs in Kryta? If that is what you ment then no Black Widows are easy to cap already.

@ Murder in China...Either that spiders should roam all over the underworld (you dont have to summon a reaper and complete it's quest to spawn a spider) OR spiders should be able to walk in places that humans cant- sheer cliffs, mountainous terrain etc.

And here I thought he meant make the spider look like a dryder. The spiders are more difficult to get then most because they are Elders and Lvl20 from the start.
Edit: /Not Signed I think it would make a further inbalance in the pets on top of what is already there. If anything Improve the Bear's attack speed to match the rest or make it's skill do something.

Inbalance?
Please explain to me how the spider been able to walk up walls etc would make it any more powerful than it not been able to. All i see is it been more 'spider like' and a bit more interesting to the game.
Also they're not Elder, thats just random. Mines Dire.
Edit, standing in the FoW forest atm thinking about it been able to send them down cliffs would help compared to sending them around. But seriously is it that much of an advantage?

random or not they're still level 20. It would make an inbalance in that the spider will be able to reach areas that other pets wouldn't or players for that matter. For example lets take Dunes of Despair. You kill the enemy hero but dont bring your hero up to the Throne. You and a few other rangers with spiders (beastmasters) run up to the middle draw bridge and attack the scarab that pops up or even reach the forgotten, this in turn sends your pet in climbing down the cliff. Just as the enemy your pet is attacking dies, you select the next enemy and cast a skill to send your pet to the next one. So while you do the bonus with unlimited time the rest of us has to do it in the timelimit.

i dotn see how that is much of an advantage especially because that would make up for their slow run speed and there arent many cliffs really are there??? the ONLY place i could think of advatages is when ur fighting the Muursat on the wall in the beggining of that mission... maybe it would affect how they could kill those rangers on GVG but seriously those rnt even players and dont do anything to begin with really... mabe 30 dmg every few tries...
i liek the idea more like a spider
poster above me, you have to finish Dunes in order to get a spider as you wont be asended until you beat all those quests. only quests there would be would be Dragons Lair and the shiverpeaks + RoF. Your pet would be dead by then after have al those arcanists and + they come back if ythe BM cant hit the opponent (ie the only way to send them) and there is no skill to send a pet at an opponent...

You can't even get close to them to send the pets can you :S Besides, what chance do your pets have of killing 2 Enchanted ???s and a boss. You'd need 2-3 beastmasters with your entire skillbar devoted to keeping your pet alive where things could easily go wrong. There really doesnt seem to me like any reason not to make them more 'spiderlike' as thats hardly a major advantage.
The fact that they're level 20 means nothing. Its not as if you find them at lvl20 and no other pet in the game can reach that level. Its just the express route to getting a high level pet.
Tyrlo that was hardly english :S Also there is no skill to send the pet to an opponent because simply attacking the opponent makes them do it.

I didn't say you were the only beastmaster and as a beastmaster you have your skill bar devoted to your pet with one or two to keep yourself alive or out of danger. I've seen one person who had a wand and offhand for the extra energy.
All pets have the same running speed.
You only have to complete the mission not the bonus to get ascended so you can have a spider to do the bonus. It was also just an example.
That "express route" to get a high level pet is why it's so hard to get one. To get the pet to attack in the first place you have to attack the first enemy but the pet doesn't need you to attack the next enemy for it to go after it, just target the next enemy and use a skill. I had my pet chase after enemies that weren't even on my radar after selecting what I thought was an enemy in the group we were fighting. I found it odd that when I tried to rez my pet it didn't work and after the fight was over didn't know where the pet has gone (till we advanced to the next group).
